Summer & Awards & Touring, Oh My!
Well after a great summer of rolling around the good ol' East Coast playing festivals, parks, venues and more than one deck party, I was delighted to cap off the summer season in September with a run to see the fine friends and folks in Ontario once again. It was great to see many good friends and fans over a couple of weeks of playing, and I think maybe I picked up a new fan or two along the way as well! :-) Of course it's always great to feel that homecoming vibe when I return to venues and rooms where I have had the chance to perform previously, but it was also fantastic to play some new wonderful spots as well, such as the much-loved Moonshine Cafe in Oakville, the Tunes After Noon series in Vanier and Batstone's Northern Ramble in Renfrew. I have added a few pics from the tour at the bottom of the page for you to check out!
While in Ontario I had the chance to stop in at Blues and Roots Radio HQ just outside Toronto for a one on one chat with the very groovy executive director Stevie Connor, where we caught up about the summer that was, the Summer Road Report video tour blog I did for B&RR (check previous blog entries to watch episodes!) and what lies ahead. You can listen to my chat with Stevie (and we have a mighty good bit of fun!) on the Blues and Roots Radio Summer Road Report webpage by clicking HERE!
